
Our menu offerings in our dining room are thoughtfully paired with our wines by the glass and our flights of wine. Our flights enable guests to sample a trio of wines, each glass containing a two ounce pour. We offer a range of wines both traditional and new world, while maintaining a selection of 25 to 30 choices by the glass, as well as a rotating top fifty list of staff selections, favorites and reasonably priced bottles. We enjoy updating both lists seasonally, to accompany chef Peter Belmonte's menu selections.
The inn continues to host monthly wine dinners throughout the year, and we hosted ours sixth wine weekend in May 2010. These events were so well received that we now hold two wine weekends each year, in late fall and early spring. Our wine club is also enjoying tremendous growth and popularity, with over 200 members who have joined. These members dine with us often, and enjoy benefits including quarterly wine tastings and hors d’oeuvres in the Cooperage, a private tasting room attached to our wine cellar, as well as restaurant and bottle discounts in our dining room and lounge.

At the inn, we truly enjoy hosting these wine events as much as we enjoy bringing great things in bottles to our guests whenever we can. We sincerely hope to see you enjoying yourself and some of the great wines that we have been able to bring into the state and the Inn at Thorn Hill & Spa.

22 July 2010 ~ JOSEPH MELLOT PORTFOLIO, PRESENTED BY WINEBERRIES CO.
Wineberries Co. will be hosting our July wine dinner, with the well crafted wines of Joseph Mellot, whose family has been associated with the vineyards of Sancerre since 1513. This period marked the beginning of a long dynasty of winemakers passionate about their terroir, and in 1969, Joseph Mellot took over the winery from his father Alphonse, and gave his name to the establishment. Currently run by Catherine Mellot, the vineyards in the center Loire region have optimised the viticultural and vinification methods, as well as become a showcase of the terroir of Sancerre. Rigorous growing methods and the control of yields are two of the measures favored in Mellot's quest to achieve the highest quality possible. September's dinner will see the return of Michael Burke from Vias Imports/MS Walker. Those who attended our Italian Wine weekend in December will remember Michael for his fabulous wines and his easy, enthusiastic nature when presenting his wines to you. If the wine fogged your memory, as often happens when everyone's having a great time at the Inn, you may remember Michael as 'the man with the golden shoes'. Either way, he enjoys throwing events here as much as we thoroughly enjoy hosting him, shoes or not.
Chef Peter and Michael are teaming up to finalise a menu and wine lineup for an Italian Harvest style dinner, that, weather permitting, may be held on our deck with limited seating.
