HIKING
Mt. Doublehead -Jackson. Jim's favorite with great views. Jackson.
Mountain Pond - Intervale. A leisurely nearby walk.
Hedge Hog Hill - Off the Kancamagus Highway
Arethusa Falls/Frankenstein Cliffs - Crawford Notch. Spectacular falls, The cliffs are a challenge.
Mt. Willard - Crawford Notch. Casual hike to awesome views
Zealand Falls Hut - Zealand Valley for waterfalls & views.
Mt. Washington - Pinkham Notch. An 8 hour hike with varying weather. Be prepared.
Tuckerman's Ravine - A spring skiing favorite on Mt. Washington
Black Cap - North Conway. Family hike with great views of the Valley and Mt. Washington.
Thorn Hill - Walk up the road by more beautiful houses.
Five Mile Loop - A long walk through the Village of Jackson.

BIKING
There are numerous sources for rentals and maps.
Red Jersey Cyclery located on Route 16 in Intervale just north of the scenic vista.
Joe Jones - North Conway. Rentals, sales & tours.
Attitash Bear Peak - Bartlett. Lift serviced trail riding.
Sunday River - Bethel, ME. Extensive lift serviced biking.
Great Glen Trails - Pinkham Notch. 12km of graded gravel trails.
White Mt. National Forest - Ask us for some great recommendations.

SWIMMING AND TENNIS
On-site pool and local swimming holes. Ask us for directions.
Mt. Cranmore - North Conway. Indoor and outdoor courts with day passes. Indoor pool.
Eagle Mountain House - Jackson. Outdoor courts just a couple of miles from the Inn.

BOATING
Saco Bound - Conway. Canoe and kayak rentals on Saco River and whitewater rafting in Errol.
Canoe King - West Ossipee. Canoes, kayak rentals.
Woodland Acres Camp'N Canoe - Brownfield, ME
M/S Mount Washington - Meredith. A scenic cruise of Lake Winnipesaukee on a 230 foot ship.

GOLF -
All of these courses are within 5-40 minutes of the Inn.
Wentworth Golf Club- 18 holes in Jackson
Hales Location Country Club - scenic and fun 9-hole course in North Conway
North Conway Country Club - Semi-private courst with 18 holes by the train station
Eagle Mountain House - 9 scenic holes in Jackson
Mount Washington Hotel - 27 holes of great golf, 30 minutes away in Bretton Woods

HORSEBACK RIDING -
Attitash Bear Peak - Bartlett. Guided horseback rides.
Farm by the River - North Conway.

SUMMER THEATRE -

Mount Washington Valley Theater Company in North Conway annually presents four musicals during July and August.

We are able to prearrange tickets for our guests. However, the theater is so popular, we suggest that you request your tickets when making your room reservation; please note that a Visa or MasterCard is necessary for advance purchases.

• ...and since dinner and the theater make for a memorable evening, the Inn dining room opens at 5pm so you can enjoy a leisurely dinner before the performance.

The Barnstormers, the country's oldest professional summer theater company, is located in Tamworth. Ask us for ticket information and a schedule of their performances which begin in July.

M&D Productions -- Mt. Washington Valley's only year-round theatre company ... it's neighborhood, award-winning, theatre at it's best. Sometimes risky, sometimes classic, sometimes funny, but always personable and comfortable.

DAY TRIPS -
Crawford Notch & the Kancamagus Highway -
Sensational mountain driving and views. Stop in Franconia for the Flume and Old Man of the Mountain.
Dixville Notch - Look for moose on the way to the Balsams Resort.
Glider Flights - Float over Mt. Washington from Gorham.
Lake Winnipesaukee - Beautiful drive around the state's largest lake.
Evan's Notch - The "locals drive", bring a picnic.
