- We are excited
to welcome our new chef, John Russ, who arrived in Jackson in the fall of 2007 after working for several years in a number of locations in the south. John has worked with culinary teams that have won Five Diamond and Five Star recognition, James Beard Award, Best New Restaurant and countless other awards. In addition to working many stations in the kitchen, John brings extensive experience in catering events, banquets, wine dinners and gala events for charities. His career began at the Ritz Carlton in New Orleans. John left New Orleans to work in Sedona, Arizona at L'Auberge de Sedona then moved on to Fiddler's Creek in Naples, Florida. His diverse background most recently included experience at the Hotel at Auburn University in Auburn, Alabama where he has gained experience in all aspects of menu execution and public relations in a variety of food outlets for a large university hotel.
