DINING ROOM |
||||
Both Gourmet and Bon Appetit have recommended our four-diamond dining room for its exquisite food and warm service. And more recently, the Inn received a score of 100 in the “Food” category of Conde Nast Traveler’s Gold List. The Inn at Thorn Hill & Spa has an extraordinary wine list, which has received the Wine Spectator “Best of the Award of Excellence”. Our intimate dining room can seat up to 75 people (plus 24 people on the screened in porch during appropriate months) at tables of four to eight guests per table. We can work with you to arrange the tables according to your needs. The private back dining room seats up to 16 people and there is also private dining available in the wine cellar. If the dinner is held outdoors, a rented tent can accommodate up to 125 people, as well as a rented dance floor. |

| THE
ROOMS |
||||
The inn is made up of 3 different types of accommodations: The Main Inn, The Carriage House, and The Cottages. Each room has a private bath and a king or queen size bed. They are all equipped with telephones, hairdryers and bathrobes. The Main Inn has sixteen unique guestrooms and suites, each with gas fireplace, two person spa bath, and a tv/dvd. Some rooms have steam showers; showers for two, double sink vanities, wet bars, and mountain views. There are two superior rooms, eight luxury rooms, and four suites each with a separate living room with additional sleeping accommodations. The Main Inn can accommodate 16 couples with double occupancy or up to 40 people using additional sleeping arrangements. The Carriage House, located next to the Main Inn, has six rooms uniquely decorated in a “North Country/Adirondack” décor of plaids and quilts. The Carriage House also has a “Great Room” for guests to gather to play games, read, or relax by the fireplace, and the deck has outdoor seating and our outdoor hot tub (open year-round). There is one superior room with a spa and living room, three deluxe rooms with spa baths, and two classic rooms with a shower only bathroom. The Carriage House can accommodate 6 couples or up to 16 people using sleep sofas. The Cottages are located behind the Main Inn and offer the most in privacy. All three have a unique layout and a French Country décor. The Notchview Cottage has a screened in front porch, spacious bedroom with a queen bed, living room with a gas fireplace and a sleep sofa, a small wet bar, and a two person spa with a peaceful view into the forest. The Trailside Cottage, also referred to as our “honeymoon cottage”, has a queen-size bed, gas fireplace by your bed, and a two person spa with a beautiful forest view. The Forest View Cottage, the largest of the three, has a king bed and half bath on the upper level. The main level has a living room (with sleep sofa), full bathroom and a two-person spa with shutters that open to view the gas fireplace. It also has a large deck on the side of the cottage. |

| THE
COMMON AREAS |
||||
We have three beautiful common areas in our Main Inn. Our Library is a quiet place for reading or games. There is television for all our guests to use, books to borrow and games to play. The Lounge is connected to the Library room with an archway and a two-way gas fireplace, and is where we serve early morning tea and coffee and afternoon tea. The lounge encompasses the octagonal turret room at the northeast corner of the Inn and has picture windows with spectacular views of the Presidential Mountains, and two French doors that lead out to a mahogany wrap around porch, great for cocktail hour during the right season. This is the perfect spot for an indoor ceremony, cocktails, or a rented dance floor. The lounge can also be used for additional dining space seating up to 30 more people. Aside from our award winning wine list, we have quite the selection for scotch connoisseurs. In the spa level of the Main Inn, there is an exercise room, sauna, and massage rooms for all guests. The Great Room in the Carriage House also provides a gathering place for the wedding party to stay, and can work as a good late night spot as well. |

Weddings can be held anytime except foliage season. Due to the overwhelming nature of groups such as a wedding, we require the rental of the entire inn for weddings over 16 people. If planning a Saturday event, we do have a 2-night minimum. Some couples choose to treat their family and friends to both nights as well as dinner. Others pay for Saturday night’s dinner and lodging, and have their guests take care of their own rooms and dinner for Friday night. Or you could have guests take care of the rooms and you take care of dinner. A deposit of $5000. is required to secure the date. This deposit will be applied towards the food and beverage charges. We require a three month cancellation with no penalty. Within three months, half of the deposit is non-refundable. Within one month the entire deposit is non-refundable. |
